Terms of Service
1.Acceptance
By downloading or using TV Remote (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and your use is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); where these terms and Apple's EULA conflict on a licensing matter, Apple's EULA controls.
2.License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App except as permitted by applicable law.
3.What the App does
TV Remote lets you discover, pair with, and control compatible Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) smart TVs over your local Wi-Fi network. The App communicates directly with your TV and does not route remote-control traffic through our servers. Compatibility depends on your TV's brand, model year, and firmware, and on your network configuration; we do not guarantee that every function will work on every TV.
4.Your responsibilities
You agree to use the App only with TVs and networks that you own or are authorized to control, and only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for your device, your network security, and any actions taken through the App. You must not use the App to interfere with devices or networks that are not yours.
5.Purchases and Pro
The App is free to use with one TV, including all core features. Pro is an optional one-time purchase (non-subscription) that unlocks saving multiple TVs and customizing the app-shortcut row. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details. Purchases can be restored via Restore Purchases in the App's settings.
Prices are shown in the App and may change over time; a change never affects a purchase you have already made. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies - please request them through Apple, not us.
6.Trademarks and no affiliation
Samsung, Tizen, LG, webOS, and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners. TV Remote is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Samsung, LG, Apple, or any TV manufacturer. Trademarks are used only to describe compatibility.
7.Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular TV, model, or firmware version.
8.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App, if any.
9.Third-party services
The App uses Apple's speech recognition (for optional dictation), RevenueCat (to validate and restore purchases), and a diagnostics endpoint we operate on Cloudflare. Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy and their respective policies.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised terms.
11.Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate the license if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.
